Mitten State Bookkeeping Services, LLC was founded by Onnilie, a seasoned accounting professional with over 30 years of experience in the field. Throughout her career, Onnilie has worked across various industries, including manufacturing, food distribution, leasing, and service companies, gaining a well-rounded expertise.

With more than 14 years of sales and use tax experience in 45 states, Onnilie has successfully managed audits, ensured compliance, and streamlined processes, consistently saving companies money through improved reporting and operational efficiencies.

In addition to her extensive career in accounting, Onnilie and her husband, Rick, are entrepreneurs at heart, owning and managing five businesses. One of their ventures recently celebrated its 13th year in business.

In December 2023, after their eighth bookkeeper left unexpectedly, Onnilie took it upon herself to step in and tackle the situation. Upon reviewing the financial records, she discovered significant clean-up work was needed to get the books back on track. Realizing the growing need for reliable and accurate bookkeeping services, Onnilie made the bold decision to leave her role as a Business Analyst and launch Mitten State Bookkeeping Services, LLC in January 2024.
